DVD Review: Dallas Season 6

The sixth season of Dallas followed up on the terms of Jock’s will which pitted JR and Bobby against each other in a competition for Ewing Oil. JR is classic in this season, pulling off scam after scam. This show really portrayed its women characters as fools through most of the season (other than Donna), with Sue Ellen in particular being played for the idiot she is. Pam and Bobby also break up in this season, with her falling for another man thanks in part to JR and her sister Katherine. The season cliff-hanger was pretty lame, with Ray starting a fight with JR that results in Southfork being lit on fire… Anyways, not the best season by any means, but it was still alright to watch… too much idiocy to rate very high though (5/10).
