DVD Reviews: Beverly Hills 90210 Season 2, Newsradio Season 3, Season 4, Dallas Season 7

Lots of catching up to do... so thought I'd start with the TV seasons:

Beverly Hills 90210 Season 2
Season two saw the romance between Dylan and Brenda heat up, Brandon on Ecstacy, Brandon working at the beach, David start dating Donna, the infamous gun-twirling episode where David’s friend died, and Emily Valentine. There were also some cameos by Lucy Lieu as a waitress and Denise Richards as one of Kelly’s relatives… decent season overall, but nothing exciting… just nolstalgic… (5/10).

Newsradio Season 3, Season 4
This show was so underrated when it was out… great writing, great cast… even the Fear Factor guy was decent. Andy Dick was a nut, Phil Hartman was classic and David Foley made us Canadians proud… this season was nutbars… I can’t even remember all the storylines, but there was the Dave’s videogame obsession, the one where Jon Lovitz tries to commit suicide, the bad ones where Lisa becomes the boss… well anyways, good show… (6.5/10 for both seasons).

Dallas Season 7
J.R. pisses more people off, including a huge plot to bring down Cliff Barnes, which ends the year with a cliffhanger where Bobby gets shot. Miss Ellie marries Clayton Farlow, while Pam and Bobby divorce, and Pam’s replacement husband commits suicide. Sue-Ellen meanwhile, has an affair with her son’s camp counselor. Dallas is still a classic after all these years… although, this season definitely was of lesser quality compared to the earlier years. The big positive was the return of Jenna Wade (Priscilla Presley). Anwyays, good season (7/10).
