Raps win #16

This was an ugly ugly one, but despite most of the team taking the night off, they still beat the injury-riddled Milwaukee Bucks...

The Good: Chris Bosh turned it on after a subpar game in Jersey with 30 points and 6 blocks. Bosh was everywhere in this one. Anthony Parker also had a good game, and TJ Ford bounced back with an "ok" game.

The Bad: EVERYONE else. Garbajossa was a terrible 1 for 7, and his shot was all over the place. Bargnani was deadly from three (3 for 4), but 1 for 7 otherwise, which begs the question why a guy who's 7'1" can't shoot when he's closer to the basket... Funny point in the game yesterday when Chuck Swirsky said he thought Bargnani would be rookie of the year if they voted today... I don't think Bargnani is the best rookie on this team let alone in the league... someone give Garbajossa some credit!! Garbajossa is a better defender & rebounder... has similar offensive numbers... and leads all rooks in steals too... who is making this team a playoff contender right now? Garbajossa by far... who might be the bigger factor in the future? Bargnani, yes... but not now... Anyways, everyone else on this team STUNK last night... and the coaching was not much better... too many offensive sets where you had 5 guys on the perimeter against a zone or man-to-man, and someone shoots a three with no rebounders... it looked like the days when Vince was still here.

Overall: Raps can still get 2 of 3 in this mini-roadtrip with a win in Boston tomorrow... that one's important, and they should win with Szerbiack out... Paul Pierce is a notorious Raptor-killer, but that was when Vince was here and we had no defence... Parker and Garbajossa are much better defenders at the small forward position. If they can win this one, they have a ton of home games left (something like 26 of the last 45 games), and one of the best schedules remaining... they are in good position, but obviously they need to keep winning... if they play like the last two nights, that's not going to happen...
