more subway blues...
how does one get stuck on the subway in between North York Centre and Sheppard (one stop) for nearly an hour? and why did we leave North York Centre in the first place if we were just going to wait in the tunnel??
stupid ttc...
stupid jumper at york mills...
sigh...
I turned back and am working in North York today rather than wait another hour for a shuttlebus at Sheppard...
ttc... you suck...

Dude, I gotta say that's a little harsh. There's no way the TTC could have known someone would jump and it's not really fair to call the jumper stupid (although in evolutionary terms perhaps...). I do think the TTC could handle these situations better though. FIrst of all, upgrade the stinkin' stations! Second, there's no reason to have trains be stuck on the tracks for more than a few minutes, especially so close to the end of the line. I can only imagine what their emergency preparedness plan looks like. It's probably a post-it note stuck to the bottom of someone's coffee mug!

well of course the ttc wouldn't haven known there'd be a jumper, but why have a train leave the station before making the announcement to ppl who hadn't know about it? the jumper had jumped long before i got on the train and the cars had stopped quite a while before i got there apparently...
as i've said before, they should really have a lot more redundancies built in to the system so that things happening at one station don't shut the whole tube down...
